Kalyana Utsavam

The evening after the Maha Kumbhabhishekam, Meenakshi-Sundaresha and Srinivasa Thiru Kalyana Utsavam was done in a grand manner at the temple. Aikyananda maharaj conducted this divine mariage ceremony explaining the significance of Vedic marriage ritual at every step. Hence Kalyana Utsavam is done to remind ourselves of how divine couples live and based on that renew and rejuvenate our relationships. The divine marriage had exchange of gifts, exchange of garlands and grand traditional music!

Kanyadhanam (Offering of the bride). The parents of the bride offer their daughters' hand in marriage to the groom. It is noted that no gift is greater than a daughter. It signifies surrender to the Existence.
