Guru Purnima Celebrations, July 7 2009 at Nithyananda Vedic Temple ,
Redmond
Guru Purnima was celebrated at the Nithyananda Vedic
Temple, Seattle with great enthusiasm and devotion by numerous devotees and
disciples. Evening celebrations started with watching Swamiji's discourse video,
Nithya Dhyaan & Gratitude meditation followed by Grand Guru Puja with 108 food
offerings and Maha Aarthi. Ananda Samaajis,devotees and volunteers performed the
Guru Paduka puja to pay their deep gratitude to the Master, the embodiment of
Cosmic Energy, who is constantly guiding them. Maha Aarthi was performed to all
the deities and to the beautifully adorned Gurumoorthi placed on the Simhasana.
Maha Aarthi was followed by a brief explanation of the significance of Guru
Purnima, the Guru-shishyaa parampara and of Enlightened Masters in our lives
today.
It was a day of deep love, devotion and gratitude for the Master who inspires us
to Live Enlightenment, experience Bliss and live with Vitarka- the Right
Reasoning.
